- 4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts 5–8 oz. each
- Salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoons Butter divided
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Flour
- Fresh parsley to garnish (optional)
- 1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup Milk
- ¼ cup Sour cream full-fat recommended
- ½ teaspoon Onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 packet Ranch seasoning mix 1 oz.

- Pound chicken breasts to even 1" thickness and season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to low, add remaining butter and stir in flour. Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the pan.
- Add milk, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and ranch mix. Stir well.
- Return chicken and juices to pan. Spoon sauce over chicken.
- Simmer until chicken is heated through and sauce has thickened slightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
To reduce saltiness, use less ranch seasoning or low-sodium alternatives. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a complete meal.
