Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 wooden spoon or spatula
  • 1 loaf pan to fit in your air fryer
  • 1 plastic wrap or kitchen towel

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add the olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring to combine.
  • Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Shape it into a loaf that fits your loaf pan.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Place the shaped dough into the greased loaf pan and let it rise again in the air fryer basket for 10-15 minutes.
  • Once risen, air fry the bread at 320°F (160°C) for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  • Remove the bread from the air fryer and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can add herbs, cheese, or spices to the dough before kneading for added flavor.
Make sure to adjust the cooking time based on the size of your loaf and the make of your air fryer, as some may cook faster than others.
This bread is perfect for sandwiches, toast, or as a side dish with your meals.
