Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts About 500 g.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional.
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar Optional.

Instructions

  • Begin by cleaning the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and cut them in half if they are large. Rinse them under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss well to evenly coat all the sprouts.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking. You may need to cook them in batches.
  • Air fry the Brussels sprouts for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time for even crisping. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
  • Once cooked, remove the Brussels sprouts from the air fryer and drizzle them with balsamic vinegar if desired. Toss to combine and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize the spices according to your taste. Other options include onion powder, paprika, or Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
These Brussels sprouts make a great accompaniment to any main dish, such as chicken or fish.
For an extra crispy texture, you can increase the cooking time by a few minutes but keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
