Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 basting brush (optional)

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder optional for heat

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and chili powder (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them in the marinade until they are evenly coated.
  • Arrange the marinated drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they're not overcrowded to ensure even cooking.
  • Cook the chicken drumsticks in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even crispiness.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 165°F (75°C).
  • Once done, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
These drumsticks pair well with a variety of sides, such as coleslaw, roasted vegetables, or rice.
