Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 meat thermometer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs Approximately 2 pounds.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Start by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure they crisp up nicely in the air fryer.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix into a paste.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them evenly with the spice mixture. Make sure each thigh is well covered.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Cook the chicken thighs for 12 minutes, then flip them over so the skin side is up and cook for an additional 10-13 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • After cooking, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain moisture.
