Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 spoon or spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, add the drained and rinsed chickpeas. Make sure they are well-drained to ensure they get crispy.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the chickpeas, and toss them with a spoon or spatula until they're evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle in the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  • Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket. Spread them out in a single layer for even cooking.
  • Air fry the chickpeas for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crispiness.
  • Once they are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Serve warm or store them in an airtight container for a healthy snack later.

Notes

You can customize the seasoning according to your taste. Try adding cayenne pepper for heat or nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.
These Air Fryer Chickpeas are best enjoyed fresh but can last for a few days when stored properly.
If your air fryer is small, you may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Enjoy them on their own, or use them as a crunchy topping for salads or grain bowls.
