Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 kitchen brush (optional)

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces chicken drumsticks Approximately 2.5 lbs.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional, for a spicy kick.

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss well, ensuring each drumstick is evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  • Place the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each one for optimal airflow.
  • Cook the drumsticks in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
  • Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  • Once done, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the drumsticks in the spice mixture for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Adjust the cooking time based on the size of the drumsticks and always check for doneness.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes for a complete meal.
