Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet (optional)

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces jalapeno peppers Cut in half and seeds removed.
  • 4 oz cream cheese Softened.
  • 1 oz cheddar cheese Shredded.
  • 1 oz mozzarella cheese Shredded.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices bacon Cut in half (optional for extra flavor).

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Carefully cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves if desired to protect hands from spiciness).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Using a spoon or spatula, fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, making sure to pack it in generously.
  • If using bacon, wrap each filled jalapeno half with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Place the filled jalapeno poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is bubbling. The bacon should also be crispy if used.
  • Carefully remove the poppers from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a milder option, use fewer jalapenos or remove all the seeds to lessen the heat.
You can also add additional spices or herbs to the cheese filling, such as chives or cilantro, for added flavor.
Leftover poppers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer for a quick snack.
