Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 baking sheet (optional)
  • 1 tongs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the marinade. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the marinated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the shrimp in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. The shrimp should be pink and opaque when done.
  • Carefully remove the shrimp from the air fryer using tongs and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
  • For added flavor, toss the shrimp with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro before serving.
  • Serve the air-fried shrimp with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as cocktail sauce or garlic aioli.
