Main ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled, deveined, tails on
  • 1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt plus more for sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder divided for seasoning and sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until coated evenly.
  • Arrange shrimp in single layer in air fryer basket. Cook for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • While shrimp cooks, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic to butter and cook 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, stirring frequently.
  • Stir in lemon juice, remaining garlic powder, salt, and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat.
  • Once shrimp is done, plate and drizzle with garlic butter sauce. Garnish with parsley if using.
  • Serve hot with rice or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for best flavor in the butter sauce. Don’t crowd the fryer basket — cook in batches to keep shrimp evenly crispy.
