Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets salmon About 6 ounces each.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • as needed lemon slices For garnish (optional).
  • as needed fresh parsley For garnish (optional).

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
  • Brush the olive oil mixture generously over each fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
  • If desired, place lemon slices on top of the fillets for added flavor.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the salmon fillets. Check for doneness by inserting a fork in the thickest part of the fillet; if it flakes easily, it is done.
Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
Leftover salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.
