Equipment

  • 1 bread machine
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 rolling pin
  • 1 pizza stone or baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water 110°F/45°C
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet

Instructions

  • Begin by adding the warm water and olive oil to the bread machine pan.
  • Next, add the all-purpose flour on top of the liquid, ensuring to cover it completely.
  • Add the sugar, salt, and active dry yeast on top of the flour. Do not stir; the yeast should sit on top of the flour.
  • Select the 'Dough' cycle on your bread machine and start the machine.
  • Once the cycle is complete (about 90 minutes), remove the dough from the bread machine.
  • Lightly flour a clean surface and place the dough on it. Punch down the dough to release air bubbles and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Add your favorite toppings.
  • Bake according to your pizza recipe or package instructions for the toppings used, usually at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes.

Notes

This dough can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours if you need to prepare it ahead of time.
You can freeze the dough for later use. Just wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer bag; it will last up to 3 months.
Experiment with different flours, like whole wheat, for a healthier version.
