1 Wok or large skillet

1 set Measuring spoons
1 set Measuring cups
1 Spatula
1 Bowl
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ cup chicken broth
- to taste salt and pepper
- cooked rice or noodles, for serving optional
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Mix well and set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until browned and just cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the wok and set it aside.
In the same wok, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the broccoli florets to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
Return the cooked chicken to the wok, and pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and broccoli.
Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and everything is heated through.
Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, if desired.
Feel free to add other vegetables, such as bell peppers or carrots, for extra color and nutrition.
For a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce in the sauce mixture.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
