- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts Approximately 4 pieces.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth Or water.
- 1 bunch fresh herbs for garnish e.g., parsley or cilantro (optional).
Start by preparing the chicken breasts. Pat them dry using paper towels and place them on a cutting board.
In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a seasoning paste.
Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken breast.
Pour the chicken broth into the Instant Pot and place the seasoned chicken breasts on the rack inside.
Close the lid of the Instant Pot and ensure the valve is set to the sealing position.
Select the 'Pressure Cook' or 'Manual' setting and set the timer for 10 minutes. It will take a few minutes for the pot to build pressure.
Once the cooking time is complete, let the pressure release naturally for about 5 minutes, then perform a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
Carefully remove the chicken breasts from the Instant Pot using tongs or a fork. Let them rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken breasts for about 30 minutes in the seasoning mix before cooking.
This chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
