Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 meat mallet or rolling pin
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 6 oz each.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Start by pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness, about 1 inch thick, using a meat mallet or rolling pin for uniformity.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Let the chicken marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor).
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the marinated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve hot with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. This can enhance the taste and juiciness even further. You can also experiment with different herbs and spices based on your preference.
