Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts about 1.5 pounds, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup flour for that first coating layer
  • ½ teaspoon salt to season
  • ½ teaspoon pepper for gentle heat
  • 2 eggs beaten to bind the breading
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs for crunch
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese mixed in breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup neutral oil like vegetable or avocado with more for frying
  • 1 large head romaine lettuce chopped for freshness
  • 1 cup croutons for extra texture inside the wrap
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan for topping or mixing
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing your fav kind or this one
  • 4 extra large burrito wraps ready to hold the goodness

Instructions

Instructions

  • Cut your chicken breasts into thin strips. This helps them cook quickly and evenly when you apply pressure.
  • In a shallow bowl, toss together flour with salt and pepper.
  • Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. They act like glue for the crispy coating to stick to your chicken strips.
  • Mix your panko breadcrumbs together with grated parmesan cheese.
  • Dip each chicken strip first in the seasoned flour, then roll it through the beaten eggs. Last, coat it fully with your crumb and cheese mix.
  • Pour the neutral oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry your chicken strips in batches about 5-7 minutes each side till golden and cooked completely. Add more oil if needed so they don’t stick or burn.
  • Drain chicken strips on paper towels to soak up extra oil.
  • Assemble your wraps by layering chopped romaine, croutons, and cooked chicken.
  • Give it a good drizzle of Caesar dressing and roll ‘em up tight.
  • You can swap breaded fried chicken for grilled strips if you want a lighter version.
  • Try pre-shredded parmesan and store-bought croutons to save prep time.
  • Use leftover chicken from a slow cooker batch if you already got tender pull done.

Notes

Serve warm for the best taste. Leftovers can be stored tightly wrapped or in airtight containers and reheated to keep breading crisp.
