Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper and pound to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
Set up a dredging station with flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs combined with a pinch of salt and pepper in a third dish.
Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a little oil, and cook the breaded chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Place the cooked chicken on the prepared baking sheet, top with marinara sauce, and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on each piece.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
To assemble the sliders, place the chicken on the bottom half of each slider bun, add fresh basil if desired, and top with the other half of the bun.
Serve warm and enjoy!
