Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 6 pieces slider buns
  • optional fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap or parchment paper and pound to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  • Set up a dredging station with flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs combined with a pinch of salt and pepper in a third dish.
  • Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a little oil, and cook the breaded chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Place the cooked chicken on the prepared baking sheet, top with marinara sauce, and sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on each piece.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • To assemble the sliders, place the chicken on the bottom half of each slider bun, add fresh basil if desired, and top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the toppings by adding sautéed vegetables or additional spices based on your preference.
These sliders are great for meal prep; you can prepare the chicken and bake them just before serving.
