- 500 g boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly
- 300 g green cabbage, shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
- salt and pepper to taste
- cooked rice or noodles for serving
Prepare all the ingredients by slicing the chicken, shredding the cabbage, slicing the bell pepper, and mincing the garlic and ginger.
In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it's hot but not smoking.
Add the sliced chicken to the wok and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
Add the minced garlic and ginger to the chicken, and stir-fry for an additional minute until fragrant.
Toss in the shredded cabbage and sliced bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), then drizzle with sesame oil. Stir well to combine all the ingredients evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once everything is fully cooked and coated with the sauce, remove from heat and serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
You can substitute the chicken with other proteins like beef or tofu if desired.
Feel free to add other vegetables, such as broccoli or snap peas, for added variety and nutrition.
Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences by adding more soy sauce or chili sauce for heat.
