- 1 cup cream cheese softened
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated for safety
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- ¼ cup milk or as needed for desired consistency
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter. Beat them together with an electric mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
Gradually add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the mixture. Continue to mix until well combined and fluffy.
Stir in the vanilla extract, and mix until incorporated.
Next, add the heat-treated flour and mix until the dough starts to come together. If the mixture is too thick, add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.
Transfer the dip to a serving dish and garnish with additional chocolate chips if desired.
Serve immediately with your choice of dippers.
To treat the flour, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes, or microwave it in a microwave-safe bowl for about 1 minute, stirring halfway through. Let it cool before using.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The dip may thicken when chilled; stir in a little milk before serving again to soften it.
