  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the vanilla extract and egg, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Spread the dough onto the prepared baking sheet or pizza pan, shaping it into a round pizza shape about ½ inch thick.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before slicing into wedges.

Notes

Feel free to customize your dessert pizza by adding nuts, sprinkles, or other toppings of your choice.
Serve warm for the best taste or allow to cool for a firmer texture. It can be enjoyed either way!
