Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Approximately 1.5 pounds.
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce Canned or homemade.
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions
 

  • Begin by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts on both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cranberry sauce and chicken broth.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, pour the cranberry sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • After 10 minutes, remove the cover, stir the sauce, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  • Serve the chicken hot, drizzled with the cranberry sauce, and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the cranberry sauce for a few hours before cooking.
Serve with rice, quinoa, or a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
