  • 6-7 pieces 6" wheat wraps perfect for wrapping all that creamy chicken goodness
  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into thin, small strips
  • 1 medium red onion Frenched for subtle sweetness
  • 2-3 tablespoon oil to brown chicken and sauté garlic and onions
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed or 2 garlic cubes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoky and sweet
  • 2 teaspoon brown sugar balances the spices with a touch of sweet
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder optional, adds a little kick
  • to taste salt coarse
  • to taste black pepper coarse
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise for creamy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup for creamy sauce
  • 1 small handful cucumber slices fresh, for serving
  • 1 pan pan to warm wraps
  • 1 pressure cooker pressure cooker for cooking chicken mixture
  • 1 sealing ring for pressure cooker

  • First, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add sliced chicken breast and cook until lightly browned on the edges.
  • Toss in red onion and crushed garlic; sauté until onion looks soft and translucent.
  • Stir in paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and optional chili powder until chicken is coated with spices.
  • Transfer mixture to pressure cooker pot, seal with sealing ring, and set to cook at high pressure.
  • Cook at high pressure for 10 minutes, then do a slow release to let flavors settle and chicken become tender.
  • While cooking, warm wheat wraps in a pan or microwave, then fill wraps with creamy chicken mixture and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh cucumber slices to add a crisp crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water to keep moist. Wrap tortillas separately to avoid sogginess.
