Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish Adjust amount based on heat preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste fresh cracked black pepper
  • optional chopped fresh chives For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  • Use a whisk or fork to blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste the sauce and add salt and fresh cracked black pepper to your preference. Mix again to combine.
  • If desired, garnish with chopped fresh chives before serving.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, but it can also be served immediately.

Notes

This sauce can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
Adjust the amount of horseradish based on your heat preference; more horseradish will make the sauce spicier.
It pairs wonderfully with roast beef, steak, or as a spread for sandwiches and burgers.
