Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices bacon Cook until crispy.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed 15 oz can.
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed 15 oz can.
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed 15 oz can.
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz can.
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon, crumble, and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  • In your crock pot, combine the kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, salt, and paprika.
  • Add the cooked beef mixture and crumbled bacon to the crock pot. Stir everything together until well combined.
  • Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • After cooking, stir the beans and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  • Serve the Cowboy Beans with cornbread or over rice for a complete meal.
