  • ½ cup Brown sugar adds the perfect touch of molasses-y sweetness that melts into the heat

Instructions

Instructions

  • Place the cinnamon stick, whole cloves, and whole allspice into a spice bag or cheesecloth and tie it securely so no bits slip into the cider.
  • Pour the apple cider or juice into the crockpot, give it a good base to soak up those spices.
  • Add the spice bag and brown sugar into the crockpot, then stir gently to combine everything real good.
  • Cover and set the crockpot to low. Let it cook for 2 to 3 hours which is plenty of time for flavors to blend and come out strong.
  • Just before you plan to serve, remove the spice bag so no surprises bite in your cup later.
  • Ladle the hot apple cider into mugs, careful cause that steam hiss is a sign it’s good and hot. Garnish with slices of red apple if you want that touch of color and just a little fresh crispness to balance the warm sweet.

Notes

Serve warm and enjoy the cozy flavors. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and reheated gently.
