Instructions
Season your chuck roast well with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat a skillet on medium-high and melt the butter. Sear the roast on all sides till brown.
Add sliced onions and minced garlic into the crockpot.
Place the seared chuck roast on top of the onions and garlic.
Add Worcestershire sauce, beer, beef broth, and Au Jus packet. Cover and set to low for 8 hours.
Once done, quick release pressure. Shred roast with forks and return to juices.
Toast sub rolls, pile high with shredded beef and provolone cheese.
Dip into broth and serve hot.
Notes
If you prefer not to use beer you can use more beef broth instead.
