  • 1 spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk Feel free to use flavored milk like almond milk.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices bread Thicker slices like challah or brioche work best.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For cooking; add more as needed.

  • optional powdered sugar For serving.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  • Place the coated bread slices onto the hot pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
  • Serve the French toast warm, topped with maple syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add toppings such as fresh fruits, whipped cream, or nuts to elevate your French toast.
For a richer flavor, try using flavored milk like almond milk or adding a splash of orange juice to the egg mixture.
If you prefer a crispy texture, you can add a light dusting of flour to the egg mixture before dipping the bread.
