1 measuring cups
1 aluminum foil optional
- 4 fillets salmon Approximately 6 oz each.
- ¼ cup miso paste White or yellow.
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic Minced.
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon green onions Chopped, for garnish.
- optional sesame seeds For garnish.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the miso paste, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth.
Place the salmon fillets in the greased baking dish and pour the miso marinade over them, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Optionally, let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
If desired, cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if using.
Serve the miso salmon with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
The marinade can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Feel free to substitute other fish or tofu for a different protein option.
