  • 2 chicken breasts lean and fresh if possible
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce thick and sticky, not the watery kind
  • cooking spray light layer for the basket
  • 1 teaspoon salt for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375℉ (190℃) so it’s ready when needed.
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel to help seasoning stick.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper generously.
  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the basket.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, flip, then brush teriyaki sauce generously on top.
  • Air fry for another 8-10 minutes until internal temp reaches 165℉ (75℃).

Notes

Let chicken rest before serving. Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Great served over rice or vegetables. Leftovers reheat well in the air fryer!
