Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 whisk or fork
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 2 serving bowls

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk Or any milk of choice.
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup Or honey.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper To enhance turmeric absorption.
  • ½ banana sliced
  • ¼ cup granola
  • ¼ cup mixed berries Blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries.
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut Optional for topping.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chia seeds, almond milk, turmeric powder, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and black pepper. Stir well until all the ingredients are fully mixed.
  • Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes, then stir again to break up any clumps of chia seeds. This will help the chia seeds absorb the liquid.
  • In a small saucepan, warm the remaining almond milk over low heat. If desired, whisk in additional spices such as cinnamon or turmeric to enhance the flavor of your golden milk.
  • Once the chia mixture has thickened to a pudding-like consistency (after about 10 minutes), divide it into two bowls.
  • Pour the warmed golden milk over the chia mixture in each bowl.
  • Top each bowl with sliced banana, granola, mixed berries, and shredded coconut, if using.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your nutritious breakfast bowl!

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup/honey according to your taste.
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference; nuts, seeds, or dried fruits all make great additions.
This breakfast bowl can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; just keep the toppings separate until serving.
