Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 parchment paper
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 baking spatula or spoon

Ingredients

  • 12 cups popped popcorn About ½ cup unpopped kernels.
  • 1 cup green candy melts
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup green sprinkles
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Begin by popping the popcorn. If using kernels, pop them in an air popper or on the stovetop. Measure out about 12 cups of popped popcorn and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure the popcorn doesn’t stick.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until completely smooth.
  • Pour the melted green candy over the popcorn in the large mixing bowl. Use a baking spatula or spoon to gently toss the popcorn until evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the mini marshmallows, green sprinkles, and salt over the coated popcorn. Toss again to distribute the toppings evenly.
  • Spread the popcorn mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Allow it to cool for a few minutes to let the candy harden.
  • Once cooled, break the popcorn into pieces and serve in individual dishes or store in an airtight container for later.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings by adding crushed pretzels or nuts for additional flavor and texture.
  • To make it even more festive, consider adding some red candy or chocolate pieces for a classic Grinch look.
  • This popcorn treat can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
