Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets About 2 heads.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry).
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • cooked rice or noodles For serving.

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced onion and sauté for about 2 minutes until it begins to soften.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the beef is cooked through, drain excess grease if necessary. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and are tender but still crisp.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to coat the beef and broccoli evenly.
  • Add the cornstarch slurry to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter dish.
Add other vegetables such as bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
