Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and continue cooking for another 2 minutes to incorporate the flavors.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the hot beef mixture. Cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes to let the cheese melt.
  • While the cheese melts, slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise.
  • Once the cheese is melted, generously spoon the ground beef mixture into each hoagie roll.
  • Serve immediately, with optional hot sauce or ketchup on the side if desired.
