- 2 large ripe peaches About 300g, pitted and chopped.
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice About 4-6 lemons.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups water Divided: 1 cup for blending peaches, 3 cups for simple syrup.
- as needed cubes ice
- as desired leaves mint For garnish.
In a blender, combine the chopped peaches with 1 cup of water and blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother lemonade, strain the peach puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove the pulp.
In a saucepan, combine the remaining 3 cups of water and the sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved, creating a simple syrup.
Once the syrup is ready, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree (or strained juice), fresh lemon juice, and the cooled simple syrup. Stir well to combine.
Add ice cubes to the pitcher, and stir again. Taste your homemade peach lemonade and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if necessary.
Serve the lemonade in glasses over ice, garnished with mint leaves if desired.
For a fizzy version, substitute half of the water with sparkling water.
This lemonade can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep the ice separate to avoid dilution.
Feel free to experiment by adding other fruits like berries or cucumber for a unique twist!
