- 1 lb chicken breast, boneless and skinless
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced optional
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
- 1 tablespoon water optional, for thickening

Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger (if using). Whisk together until smooth.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
Once the chicken is cooked, lower the heat to medium. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken. Stir to coat the chicken evenly and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl and add it to the skillet. Stir continuously until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Once the chicken is well coated and the sauce is thickened, remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
