Ingredients
  

  • 12 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 slices bacon
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Cut each jalapeño pepper in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a knife. (Use gloves to protect your hands from the heat.)
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Using a spoon, fill each half of the jalapeño with the cheese mixture, ensuring it is heaped nicely.
  • Cut each bacon slice in half and wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced slightly apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let the poppers cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a milder version, you can choose to remove all the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños.
Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add spices like cumin or paprika for extra flavor.
Serve with ranch dressing or a dipping sauce of your choice for added enjoyment.
