- 4 fillets salmon Approximately 6 oz. each.
- ¼ cup unsalted butter ½ stick.
- 4 cloves garlic Minced.
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Chopped.
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- as needed lemon slices For serving.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant, but do not let it brown. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice.
Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
If using a grill basket or aluminum foil, lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill or in the basket. Close the lid and grill for about 5-7 minutes.
Carefully flip the salmon fillets using tongs and brush them with the garlic butter mixture. Grill for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the grilled salmon with additional garlic butter drizzled on top and lemon slices on the side.
You can customize the herbs in the garlic butter, adding thyme or dill for extra flavor.
If you prefer to cook the salmon indoors, you can use a stovetop grill pan instead of an outdoor grill.
For perfect salmon, watch for the internal temperature to reach 145°F (63°C).
