Oven Toasted Ravioli is a quick and easy appetizer or snack featuring frozen ravioli dipped in an egg and milk mixture, coated in Italian bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, then baked or air fried to golden perfection. Crispy on the outside with a cheesy center, it's perfect for dipping in marinara or pesto and great for parties or busy weeknights.

  • 12 round frozen ravioli thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk mixed in with the egg
  • 6 tablespoon Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon parmesan cheese grated

  • Preheat oven to 400°F or set your air fryer to 390°F.
  • Whisk the egg and milk together in a shallow bowl until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, mix Italian bread crumbs and parmesan cheese until combined.
  • Dip each thawed ravioli into the egg-milk mixture, then coat well with the bread crumb mixture.
  • Place coated ravioli on a parchment-lined baking sheet or sprayed air fryer basket without crowding.
  • Lightly spray the tops of ravioli with cooking spray for a golden finish.
  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or air fry for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with warm marinara or pesto sauce.

Notes

Can use frozen or refrigerated ravioli; no need to precook before baking. Any type of ravioli can be used but cheese ravioli is preferred. Store-bought Italian bread crumbs or panko with Italian seasoning works well. Use freshly grated or powdered parmesan cheese rather than shredded. Oven-toasted ravioli can also be made in the air fryer at 350ºF for 7-9 minutes. Frozen coated ravioli can be frozen before baking and baked from frozen with added cook time.
