Equipment

  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 teapot or heat-resistant pitcher
  • 1 fine mesh strainer
  • 1 stirring spoon
  • 1 measuring cups
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 4 glasses for serving

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 bags green tea
  • 2 ripe peaches pitted and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey Optional for added sweetness.
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat.
  • Add the green tea bags to the hot water and let them steep for about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Meanwhile, in a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times rather than blending completely.
  • After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • In a pitcher, combine the peach puree with the brewed green tea. If using, stir in the honey for added sweetness.
  • Add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir well to chill the drink.
  • Pour the Peach Green Tea Refresher into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to the mixture.
For a fizzy version, replace some of the water with sparkling water.
Feel free to substitute the peaches with other fruits like nectarines or apricots for a different flavor profile.
