Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups diced fresh pineapple about 1 medium pineapple
  • 2 cups water
  • ΒΌ cup fresh mint leaves packed
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice about 1 lime
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons honey or sugar adjust to taste
  • to taste ice cubes ice cubes for serving

Instructions
 

  • Chop the fresh pineapple into small chunks and place them in the blender.
  • Add the 2 cups of water, fresh mint leaves, lime juice, and honey (or sugar) to the blender.
  • Blend the mixture on high speed until it becomes smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove the pulp.
  • Taste the agua fresca and adjust the sweetness if desired by adding more honey or sugar.
  • Chill the agua fresca in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice cubes in glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a mint sprig or a pineapple slice, if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness of the agua fresca based on your preference, and you may also use agave syrup as an alternative sweetener.
For added flavor, consider blending in a slice of cucumber or adding additional citrus fruits like orange.
This drink is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
