Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
In the baking dish, layer 4 slices of rye bread evenly at the bottom.
Spread half of the thousand island dressing over the bread.
Layer half of the corned beef on top of the dressing evenly.
Next, add half of the sauerkraut over the corned beef.
Sprinkle half of the Swiss cheese over the sauerkraut.
Repeat the layering process with the remaining rye bread, thousand island dressing, corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
If using caraway seeds, sprinkle them over the top layer of cheese.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve warm and enjoy your Reuben Bake!
