  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 frying pan (optional)
  • 1 cooking spoon
  • 1 aluminum foil

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound corned beef, sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 1 cup thousand island dressing
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds optional
  • spray or oil for greasing cooking spray or oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
  • In the baking dish, layer 4 slices of rye bread evenly at the bottom.
  • Spread half of the thousand island dressing over the bread.
  • Layer half of the corned beef on top of the dressing evenly.
  • Next, add half of the sauerkraut over the corned beef.
  • Sprinkle half of the Swiss cheese over the sauerkraut.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining rye bread, thousand island dressing, corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
  • If using caraway seeds, sprinkle them over the top layer of cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  • After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your Reuben Bake!

You can tweak the quantities of the ingredients based on personal preference.
