  • 8 ounces Spaghetti or your favorite pasta
  • 0.5 pound Fresh salmon not frozen
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Flour
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup Dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 0.75 cup Heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice from ½ lemon
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season salmon with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sear salmon 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and flake with fork.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add flour and cook for 1 minute to make a roux.
  • Whisk in wine or chicken broth gradually to create a smooth sauce.
  • Add heavy cream and lemon juice. Simmer to thicken 3–5 minutes.
  • Add flaked salmon into the sauce and stir gently to combine.
  • Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water. Toss to coat in sauce.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan and parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat with a touch of cream to keep the sauce smooth. Best enjoyed fresh.
