Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) canned salmon drained and flaked
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup bell pepper finely chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flaked canned salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork or potato masher to mix everything until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, place 2 patties in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Transfer the cooked patties to a plate and repeat the process with the remaining 2 patties.
  • Serve the salmon patties warm, either plain or with your favorite dipping sauce.
  • Optionally, customize the patties by adding herbs like parsley or dill for extra flavor.
  • For a complete meal, serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
  • Leftover salmon patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated in the skillet or microwave.
