  • 12 ounce package wide egg noodles

Instructions

Instructions

  • In the crock of a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together the meat, gravy mix, au jus mix, and water. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Serve the beef and gravy over the noodles.
  • For thicker gravy, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir into the slow cooker. Cover and increase heat to high for about 20 minutes until sauce thickens.
  • Ensure sealing ring is in place when pressure cooking to keep steam inside.
  • Use quick release for faster cooking or slow release for more tender meat.

Notes

For consistency, I prefer the McCormick Brown Gravy Mix and McCormick Au Jus Mix. Concerned about the sodium level? Opt for reduced sodium gravy and au jus mix. You can freeze leftovers and reheat when needed. Store noodles separate to avoid sogginess.
