Equipment

  • 1 grill or skillet
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 serving platter

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak approx. 16 oz
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined approx. 16-20 shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 1 each lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to evenly coat the shrimp.
  • Season the ribeye steak on both sides with the remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the ribeye steak on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F. Adjust cooking time based on your desired doneness.
  • In the last 3-4 minutes of cooking the steak, add the seasoned shrimp to the grill or skillet. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Once done, remove both the steak and shrimp from heat. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain.
  • Slice the steak and arrange it on a serving platter alongside the shrimp. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the steak for a few hours in your favorite marinade.
You can substitute other cuts of steak, like sirloin or filet mignon, based on your preference.
Pair this dish with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Enjoy!
