Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 electric mixer or whisk
  • 1 piping bag or resealable plastic bag
  • 1 paring knife
  • 1 serving platter

Ingredients

  • 16 large strawberries
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips optional
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Begin by washing the strawberries under cold water. Gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Remove the green tops of the strawberries using a paring knife. Carefully hollow out the center of each strawberry to create space for the filling.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • If you desire chocolate chips, fold them into the cream cheese mixture at this stage.
  • Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag for easier filling. If you don't have a piping bag, use a resealable plastic bag and cut off one corner.
  • Fill each hollowed strawberry with the cream cheese mixture, ensuring they are generously stuffed.
  • Arrange the stuffed strawberries on a serving platter. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves for added color and flavor.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

For a healthier option, you can substitute the cream cheese with Greek yogurt.
Feel free to customize the filling by adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg or incorporating crushed nuts for added texture.
These strawberries are best enjoyed the same day they are prepared, as they may soften over time.
