  • 15.5 oz Salsa chunky or smooth
  • 0.5 cup Shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese for topping
  • 2 packets Taco seasoning or ¼ cup bulk taco seasoning
  • 1.5 cups Water for broth depth
  • 0.5 cup Cream cheese or sour cream for creaminess
  • Optional extras like chopped onions or bell peppers adds crunch and color

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F so it’s ready when your casserole’s set.
  • Cook pasta shells just ‘til al dente according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning plus water to the browned beef, stir well, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Mix salsa and cream cheese or sour cream in until creamy and combined.
  • Combine beef mixture with cooked pasta shells, making sure every bite gets sauce.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
  • Let casserole stand 5 minutes before serving to settle flavors.
