  • 1 lb Ground beef lean
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 2 cups Uncooked pasta preferably penne or rotini
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1.5 cups Shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
  • Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes (with juice).
  • Add uncooked pasta and Italian seasoning, stir well.
  • Cover and let simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked through.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the skillet and cover until cheese is melted. Serve hot.

Notes

You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or use a mix of cheeses based on your preference.
