Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage Casings removed.
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine and coat the pasta with the creamy sauce.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

You can use turkey or chicken sausage for a lighter option.
To add extra vegetables, consider incorporating spinach or broccoli.
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sausage while cooking.
