  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Basting brush
  • 1 Tongs
  • 1 Cooking thermometer optional

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for spice
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Allow the wings to marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  • Once the grill is preheated, place the wings on the grill in a single layer.
  • Grill the wings for about 20 minutes, turning them every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and a crispy exterior.
  • If using barbecue sauce, brush it onto the wings during the last 5 minutes of grilling to glaze them.
  • Check the internal temperature of the wings to ensure they reach at least 165°F for safe consumption.
  • Once cooked, remove the wings from the grill, and let them rest for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the wings overnight in the seasoning mixture before grilling.
You can also experiment with different spice blends or sauces to customize the wings according to your preferences.
Serving with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing is a classic pairing!
